Hacienda Moraika. High in the central mountains of Puerto Rico, well off the beaten path for most
tourists, a coffee plantation gone to the tourist, rooms, pool and a restaurant/bar offer a local taste
and mountain scenery, the air is crisp in the mornings and cool at night, good for star gazing. On
PR# 157 just off PR#149 in Orocovis.
Juan Ponce De Leon (of the fountain of youth fame) was the first governor of Puerto Rico, his
residence is in Old San Juan at the end of San Sebastian Street, the residence is a museum and
the gardens are open to the public, a good place to come and cool off after a walking tour of the
city.
The red mangroves marching off to sea. In the southwest corner of Puerto Rico is Boqueron beach
in Cabo Rojo, local bed and breakfast and thrift lodging will let you enjoy the beauty this part of the
island has to offer. If you like to dine on local fish this is the place to visit.
Boqueron beach is the place to watch the sun set over the water in Puerto Rico.
