Para mejor proteger la frágil Reserva Natural del estuario de la Bahía de Jobos, es necesario involucrar en este
esfuerzo a las comunidades que moran en los alrededores de esta reserva. Con este fin el Sierra Club de Puerto
Rico forma parte del conjunto de agencias, privadas y estatales, que se han dado a la tarea de “re-encantar” a estas
comunidades, con su Reserva Natural. Asistiendo, a estas comunidades, en la creación de empresas eco-turísticas
que hacen uso sustentable del recurso natural, estas comunidades se sienten parte y protectoras de la Reserva
Natural del Estuario de la Bahía de Jobos.
