Sujetados de una soga tomamos un corto descanso
frente a... no sabemos lo que puede ser.
Luego del paso de las lanchas de Cataño,
continuamos remando sobre olas confusas.
Bajo un impresionante cielo rondamos
La Puntilla.
Agotados tomamos un merecido descanso
en la playa de La Puntilla, Base del Coast
Guard...
...donde fuimos amenazados con arresto, por un
marino del USCG, si no nos marchábamos de “su”
playa...
...bajo tal amenaza, no nos cuesta mas remedio
que volver a las olas y el viento, cansados...
...pero mas bien resentidos por la falta
de hospitalidad y sensibilidad del USCG...
...que ni siquiera nos pregunto si necesitábamos
alguna asistencia.

After the passing of the Cataño ferries we
continue paddling on the confused waves.
Under an impressive sky we round
Little Point.
Exhausted we take a much needed rest on
the beach at Little Point, a U S Coast Guard
base…
…where we were threatened with arrest, by
a USCG sailor, if we did not get off “their”
beach…
…with such a threat, we had no choice but
to return to the wind and the waves, tired…
…but resentful for the lack of hospitality
and sensibility of the USCG...
…that did not bother to ask if we needed
help or assistance.
