Mangle rojo (Rhizophora mangle)
En el estrecho canal del mangar...
...raíces, ramas y mosquitos por
doquier...
...hay que usar destreza al remo para
navegar.
Libre del enmarañado abrazo del
manglar, salimos a aguas abiertas.
El Yunque, en la lejanía, con su
acostumbrado manto de nubes.
La isla de Vieques en la distancia.

In the narrow canal of the mangrove…
…roots, limbs and mosquitoes are
everywhere…
…you have to use all the abilities at
the paddle to navigate.
Free from the entangled embrace of
the mangrove, we enter open waters.
